Smarter Digital Marketing founders Brian Lonsdale and Laimonas Naradauskas are helping Scottish children’s charity Govan Youth Information Project by creating their new website. Last year the entrepreneurs launched a campaign to help Scottish charities with their digital campaigns. An SEO Glasgow agency, Smarter Digital Marketing decided to give back to their community using their expert digital skills.
Smarter Digital Marketing
The business was inspired by the success of the Scottish Government Digital Voucher Fund and wanted to make a difference by giving one lucky organisation the chance of a digital voucher worth £5,000!
The digital marketing agency wanted to help some of Scotland’s third sector organisations by boosting their online traffic. The digital voucher covers the cost of a fully optimised website.
The Digital Voucher Process
The business was overwhelmed with applications and they encourage other digital organisations to help other charities across Scotland. The winning charity’s project had to meet the following criteria:
- The project must benefit the others and the organisation.
- Requirements must meet the total budget must be realistic.
- The project is created for online marketing use only.
- The project must be for web design or development purposes.
- The voucher must be used in full.
- The voucher can be used in conjunction with other internal investment.
- This digital voucher was only valid for charities, voluntary organisations, community groups and non-profits.
- The voucher cannot be used on campaigns such as Google AdWords or as a spend for any SEO campaign.
Govan Youth Information Project
The winner of the prize was GYIP (Govan Youth Information Project). Smarter Digital marketing is ready to launch their new website, which will help them promote the work that they are doing within Govan and Glasgow.
The project is set up to help with education and the relief of poverty of people within the Glasgow area. The Govan Youth Project targets those who are aged 5-25 within the G51 postcode area, Greater Govan (regardless of gender, sexual orientation, religious belief or racial group).
GYIP is an excellent cause. It provides much-needed information and guidance to young people across the G51 area. They are there to support and empower local Govan residents.
Online Marketing Glasgow
Smarter who specialise in online marketing Glasgow, have improved the GYIP website in a number of ways. After speaking with GYIP, both organisations wanted to create something that was accessible and easy to use.
The SEO company in Glasgow created a calendar which the organisation could use to update the website, with all of the information users needed, including events and courses. Smarter Digital Marketing Employee, Melissa Lang, says that “this new website will definitely benefit GYIP users. GYIP wanted a website that was full of personality and we were delighted we could help. Our team couldn’t be happier with the results.”
